Located halfway along the ridge road, you’ll need to walk about fifty meters before reaching the cliff edge. From the top of the cape, you’ll have one of the most beautiful views in all of France. A bit more out-of-the-way than some of the other spots we’ve discussed, this fine sandy beach located at Pointe Rouge is one of the nicest. Though it’s not one of the largest beaches on the coast, it’s a hidden gem among those in the know in Marseille, so you shouldn’t have a hard time finding a spot. With its quaint blue shacks, it’s the perfect spot to watch the sunset reflecting on the Mediterranean Sea.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

For this last exceptional place, we’re taking you a few kilometers away from the center of Marseille. Grab a ticket, hop on a boat heading towards the Frioul Islands. This spectacular island boasts numerous little coves and rocky beaches, restaurants, and various entertainment spots. Despite all this, it remains very wild and untouched. We suggest doing some hiking there, soaking up the sun and cooling off in the refreshing water before marveling at the incredible sunset engulfing all of Marseille. If you’re a night owl, we invite you to head to one of these locations around 9 p.m. in the summer to catch a view of the setting sun around 10 p.m. In the winter, or if you’re brave enough to face the chilly weather, we recommend getting there around 4 p.m. to enjoy the sunset around 5 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Know that these little corners of paradise are equally wonderful for early birds. Your perspective will be all the more different. If you’re up for it, we recommend getting there at dawn to enjoy the full splendor of the sunrise which occurs around 6 a.m. That’s for the summer.
