What to do in November ? Colivys shares its top tips

November is that time of the year between Halloween and Christmas when we sometimes wonder what to do. It’s also the heart of autumn, when trees have lost their leaves and the weather (really) gets colder. So, to keep you away from staying home and getting depressed, we have put together a program of fun and seasonal activities for you to do this month!

🪄 Extend the magic of Halloween with Harry Potter

Who said Halloween was over? A great pop-up store has just opened in Paris, and something tells us that Harry Potter fans will be thrilled. Whether you come just for the atmosphere or to find iconic elements of the saga, The Wizards Shop takes you into the world of wizards. Elderberry wand, Marauder’s map, golden snitch, invisibility cloak and other potions, you will find everything you are looking for in this magical cabinet of curiosities. The special atmosphere of this place, nestled in the heart of the Marais district in Paris, will make you forget the muggle world in which it is located. And if you missed the special Halloween days, don’t panic. The pop-up store welcomes you until December 31st.

🎮 Do not miss the Paris Games Week

The most awaited event by French gamers is back! The Paris Games Week will be held at the Parc des Expositions de Versailles, in Paris, from November 2nd to 6th. The most famous video game show has many surprises in store for you, on this new edition. Between the new editions of “Just Dance” or “Mario and the Raving Rabbids” that you will be able to test exclusively here, a space will be dedicated to raise awareness among women in the gaming world. Several conferences, game competitions and cosplay contests will be organized. Book your tickets now!

🎅 Immerse yourself in the enchantment of Christmas early

November is the month to start soaking up into the whole Christmas atmosphere. If you love this time of year too, you will love Paris in November. The city starts to adorn and prepare for this long awaited period. You will go back to childhood thanks to the department stores’ window displays unveiled from November 9th. You will be able to enjoy the large Christmas market taking place in the Tuileries garden, a stone’s throw from the Louvre Museum, from November 19th. A perfect place to enjoy a good chocolate or mulled wine, both unmissable. On the same date, the famous avenue Montaigne will be illuminated to dazzle.

✨ Cover yourself in gold at the Yves Saint Laurent museum

If you find the weather a little too chilly to venture outside, why won’t you find refuge in a museum? Paris is full of museums, so we are taking you to one of the most iconic: the Yves Saint Laurent museum. Sixty years ago, the famous designer and ambassador of the French savoir-faire released his very first collection under his own name. For the occasion, the exhibition “Gold: les ors d’Yves Saint Laurent” pays tribute to him through one of the noblest materials: gold. More than forty dresses, accessories and other unmissable items will take you into the world of the late couturier.

✍️ Enjoy a new event dedicated to the world of tattoos

Finally, tattoo enthusiasts take note! The Grande Halle de la Villette is hosting the first edition of Tattoo Planetarium from November 4th to 6th. Orchestrated by the French icon of tattooing, Tin-Tin, this new convention is taking over the Mondial du Tatouage. The unmissable event, considered as one of the biggest fairs dedicated to this art, unfortunately had to close its doors because of the pandemic. This is now ancient history as more than 500 international tattoo artists such as Amy Mymouse, Dodie or Diego Moraes will be attending this event! So, what are you waiting for to go there and enjoy the atmosphere?
